Illicit poppy production, meanwhile, brings $4 billion into Afghanistan, or more than half the country’s total economy of $7.5 billion, according to the United Nations Office of Drug Control (UNODC)." Congrats to all the nations who help Obama to continue this scheme, including the Germans [link] who really should know better. Oh well... On the bright side, there's sun out there, the first time in some weeks, maybe we'll have a bit of summer coming down to Brazil after all :) |
